For 128 years the members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Upper Columbia Conference have faithfully met the challenges of their commission - to shine the gospel to the world "like streams of light."
To Shine the Gospel
At the last Constituency session members of the Upper Columbia Conference committed to an inspired vision for the future:
- Spiritual growth - Getting serious about heaven as never before
- Empowering young people - Giving our children every opportunity to know Jesus
- New Outreach - Drawing people to Jesus by meeting them where they are and loving them as He does
- Discipleship - Mobilizing us all for His service
Everything we are, everything we do, everything we sacrifice, flows from this framework; a vision taking shape in the Streams of Light campaign.
New Level of Commitment
The Streams of Light campaign grew out of the results of a face-to-face survey of 115 church lay leaders. The results indicated that the conference needs a new level of commitment and impact in our work, especially for our young people. It needs a level of effectiveness that will help shine the gospel like "streams of light" to a dark world.
