Working as an ear, nose and throat surgeon, I touch many lives — people facing crises and people needing hope more than healing.
I remember thinking “We need a special place to interact with these people.” So this need was shared with my prayer group and we started praying.
As we prayed, my agenda began to disappear and God’s came into focus. I realized something was missing. We were doing church for ourselves and not reaching out to others!
We began to visualize our target group. Who were they and how could we reach them? As the questions bounced around, our excitement grew. Suddenly we realized, we were planting a church! Incredible!
My heart still burns with this church-planting experience. I want to share the joy Jesus has given us with others. And He’s given us the power to do it!
