Thousands of kids have been powerfully affected by Camp MiVoden's ministry.
"Next to Christmas, going to MiVoden in the summer was my favorite time of year," says Dean McConnachie, "I got to know kids from all over, and we met up summer after summer."
Dean practically grew up at camp, or at least matured there, he says, and then when he became a staff member he could really see how God was changing people's lives through this ministry.
"I saw people living, working, and playing together -- to me it was like a glimpse of what a perfect world would be like."
Recently, some of the former MiVoden staff gathered at camp for a reunion. "It was like time stood still, as if there had been no time of separation. I think we need MiVoden now more than ever. Kids need a safe place to go, where they can play and be kids, make friends that aren't threatening, and learn to celebrate God -- to love Him for the first time."
Today Dean lives and works in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. He is passionate about his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, a Friend he met at Camp MiVoden.
