When asked to help with this campaign, I hesitated because by nature, I am a reserved person. Asking friends to give was not comfortable for me.
But you can’t imagine how much pleasure it has given me to see God bless people right before my eyes. That blessing is most apparent when gifts came from a heart of love.
The two mites that the widow gave didn’t seem important. But Jesus knew better. He knew each small gift multiplies to become a large blessing. Jesus chose the widow’s gift to illustrate the importance of giving sacrificially.
In my experience, God has opened windows of blessing that didn’t exist before. It was only after I made a sacrificial commitment to support Streams of Light that I recognized them. Try Him and see!
